To Trust or not to Trust!

We trust the first person that we bond with and it grows from there.

Have you ever noticed how cool kids are? They trust every little thing we say.

They rarely question us when we tell them something.

Believing our every word; and why not?

They have not been exposed to mistrust yet, not that they would recognize it at such an early age.

Then they get older and come in contact with other children.

This is when relationships begin, seperate from the familiar family relationships that they have grown to know as "normal". They begin to compare lifestyles with their friends and for some, this is when the first mistrust begins. They find out that it is not normal to be touched by people in their private parts. They find out that it is not normal to be beaten for doing something wrong. They find out that it is not normal to not be fed for a day or even two. They find that it is not normal to watch their dad hit their mom. They find lies, which gives birth to MISTRUST. Their lives turn an entire chapter at that point. They grow up somehow; suffering through the pain and loneliness of living with mistrust. For some they rise above it and use it as a learning tool. For others they become it; mistrusting everyone and everything. A small number of those people seek help and spend many hours and a great deal of energy trying to conquer it. ☻

Then we have our jobs, we trust immediately anyone that has been there longer or that comes off as knowing more than us. We trust our bosses and our co-workers.

It is natural to trust as if we were babies all over again. With any new venture we yearn to trust.

When we first fall in love;♥ What is that saying, "Love is Blind"? Hahass! Now that's funny, because it really is blind. We trust so instantly and genuinely that we potentially set ourselves up for the biggest fall in our lives. Why is that?? Is it because we are so driven by nature to want to trust someone? Or is trusting someone just a happier, easier, way of life••

Once a trust is breached, it creates a scar that has it's own heart and never goes away. We just learn to ignore its beat. We try to reorganize our minds and put it on the farthest burner we have. Some of us can do just that, while others cannot. For them life is not so easy. They find themselves thinking, should I trust or not? It's like they have to find proof and reason to trust, because their minds already mistrust. This is similar to the term "Guilty until proven innocent". For anyone out there that can relate to that, and I am sure there are many of you that do just that, life is hell.

If, lets say we love someone and they tell us one thing, and we keep getting mixed signals that stir up our mistrust thoughts, where do we go with that? Books tell us, that we are to trust the ones we love and that's it. And then, if our trust gets breached, and only then, can we be accurate with our mistrust. "Blah" I say! Oh and we're also told at the same time to trust our gut feelings. OK, I admit confusion here. I know this subject is really going to cut like a knife for some people and I will apologize now, but we have to deal with the reality of our lives. How else are we going to tackle our insecurities and get stronger. Our goal is to have a somewhat happy life. One that we can talk about to our grandchildren. We have to open our eyes and know what is going on in our worlds. If your relationship has had a breach of trust or if you have experienced mistrust earlier in your lives, then you already have a reason to feel insecure. Now that you know that, you can start to build up on that. Now you need to identify the exact core of it and toss it. Its old news and its over.

Start a whole new life as if being born again (for lack of a better phrase). I hear you already saying, "Easier said than done". I totally agree, but how many times have I said, "Anything worth having , does not come easy"? The answer is MANY. Life is not easy. We have to earned all our happiness. I have noticed, and I am guilty of this myself, that we are waiting for our lives to be happy. I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about happiness and if I have realized anything at all, its that happiness is in you and your thinking and how you deal with every little thing. To Trust or not to Trust is in our control. If we choose not to trust, we open the door to all sorts of evil demons, such as jealousy, low self-esteem, anxiety, envy, selfishness, self-torture, worry, loneliness and just plain unhappiness. So when we feel that, "Trust or not trust" debate lurking in our minds, choose to not allow your mind to go that direction. Tell yourself, that you are an intelligent person and you know what is right and what is wrong right now. It'is now that you are living, not then, or the past. We are very good at deciding what we want to eat, right? Or where we want to vacation and spend tons of our hard earned money. So then why is it so hard for us to just change our train of thought?

Morning,
Just got home from work.
yeah, such a peaceful night i had for the days.

With lovely patients except for the " aiYOOO..... AIyooOoo..." man. *Irritating speciman* there'll never ever have good words from his mouth!? Please la.... hold your words real close before the next sentences can..
It's enough to just have him through out the night, called for nothing.. AIYOOOO☺....

On my second night i'm on with my gf sharifah R, which is her first night.
Our virgin night together. *Thumbs up*

End of night duties, today's my sleeping day and tomorrow i'm back to work again..
so soon, din ever have enough rest... all bcos i had to many days off for the past few days.. 5 days off in a roll.. that's why no more rest day for me.. argghHhh... press on♥

I just got back home from Far east - Kallang.
had ice-skating session today.
if im not wrong,
my last ice-skating was 2-3years back!?
was so scared that i might fall when i first step onto the ice. *Lousy sey*

On morning shift.

Everything was fine in the morning.

and went for break on time.

just when we were in the tea-room having our meals

but was almost done, only left drinks.

chatting away till serena came in and say my patient collapsed.

no one out there to help her serve diet for other patients and it's already passed time.

so all of us went out with bloated stomach.

saw 3nurses and 1 doctor inside resuscitating the patient.

so i went to serve diet.

Sadden that patient suddenly collapsed.

he still call me before i went for break.

was so well but the next minute he's gone...

sighh... that's life..!?

felt sad while packing him..

AT WORK!

I'm back home from AM shift.

Had my shower and washed scrubs→DONE

Morning once reached workplace checked my assignment, i'm at male side (team3).

as i thought today i'll be assigned to female side (team 1)becos i was there ytd. *clapclapped*:]

Female side (team1) were quite heavy till they assigned 4nurses there, whereas other 2 teams only assigned 2-3nurses.
but still, 4 nurses wasn't enough for them.!!?

•need to follow doctors rounds

•changes to be done

•feeding of pt's on NGtube

•serving of medication

•bathing of pts

•parameters

worst still, those patients needed assistance on STAT.. no patience at all, just kept pressing the bells§..... ♫♪

i went over to answer those bells¶♫♪ as it does not goes off..

and im stucK there for awhile..

ran back quickly to my own team once pts were settle..

my pts were all quite stable except one or two..

Wasn't busy after passing over to the afternoon staffs..

recently, im addicted to the game in facebook.. FARM TOWN!!
spending hours harvesting, plowing and finding jobss. earning money and level ups‼
Having dinner now, cooked by second sis.. simple dishes.. eggs, cabbage and tomato soup.♥

met jojo for perming hair.

went to that salon at 10am.

we're the first customers..

dye my hair and reperm again.

as jO, she perm the same as me..

i would say that the results was NICE!!! ☺

went home to rest for few hours and joined us after we're done..

so, left her alone at the salon while Jojo and me went for our lunch,

Is Febrile since last night

after back from town..

*No sore throat, flu or headache but just felt so lethargic.*

sigh... before sleep,

took 2 paracatamol tablets..

This morning felt much more better.. but temp still spikes up..

no idea why.. could be virse infection!?..

by right im working PM shift.. wanna go for work. but temperature is still high..

aiyo... afraid not enough staff on duty.. colleagues call and sms me to ask am i getting better? rest well and stuff! thanks for ya concern.♥ im ok.. ☺

hmmmm..... it's getting late so decided to take my sick leave and went to see a doctor..

so i'm on mc.. monday - wednesday is my AL!!!

seems like general medicine ward,
pts all bed bound. and with NG tube.
feeding and suction every 3 hours.:(
lucky there's students around. but today is their last day.
Ohh....sighhh....tml there'll be will be only 2 nurses
taking care of 12 pts.
On PM shift againツ

Sadden. recieved a text from dearest staff nurse heide ytd,
"Thx 4evrything..and tnx 4d friendship"...
im puzzle. what happen? out of sudden send me this kind of msg..
text her back but no reply.
went to ask around. and check her roaster.
then realised, she have already resigned. sighhh....
and she's back in philippines..
both of us joined in together and yet she throw me there.
the very first month she told me that she couldn't cope. kept asking her to stay..
managed to stay her back for few months.
hmmm.... we both seldom got the same shift..
but will definitely see each other for 1 or 2 hours
during passing over duties.
could actually see that she's so stressed up after work..
and she will say " tired.. so stress".. and followed by a sad face.
And now she's not gotta have those stressor anymore. ya..

Is back home from my night duty.

Is blogging @ 1112hrs. And later on got to wake up at 1400hrs plus,

as im meeting my colleagues for dinner. At novena square.. as if im gg back work. :)

Ytd was my last night.. and is MY TERRIBLE NIGHT. i would say.

The moment we took over our patients,

one of the patient desaturated.

And so all the necessary nursing care were given.

In the middle of the night. sudden collapsed case.

Here comes the E-trolley.

Active collapsed, CPR needed. We took turns doing CPR.

We resuscitated him for an hour.

And within that hour lot of things need to be done.

In the end last office! sighh.............

And more cant be shared already.

AM Shift!!

By right, today is my day off but my ward sister changed it to AM shift.

As she send me for photo shooting, it's for the nurses day poster, she said.

So i'm not assigned to take any cases. but just helping around till sister came to look for me.

Sister came at abt 9amplus to 10am. Then i changed to my uniform and make sure my hair is still neat. OH ya..Bcos today i woke up early to tie my hair. ya..

There were me, ward sister and one 8c staff, for e shooting at 8c.

while we were waiting for the photographer, other sisters were checking on our uniforms, hair and our makeups. *Everything was fine..* ☺

Photoshooting starts:

Nurse serving medications,

Nurse serving diet,

Nurse putting O2 for patient.

Just do whatever the photographer says. and we just keep smiling to the patients.

Gosshh.... photographer took so many of the pictures and he only saw me 2 pics which i don't really look good.

Everything ends at 11am..

Then we went for our break.. SO so so hungrY...

Was back in the ward at 12oo-1500hrs.

Then went for the talk till 1630 instead of 1530( off duty)...

Hi, people.. ☺
Was busy and tired of playing so didn't really blog.
It's going to be the end of the year and im awaiting for 2009!

These few days i had been going out with my *missy* girlfriends and beloved one and family.
Went to snow city and science centre the other day as my little cousin has not been there before, so do i. ☺ Hmmm... Snow city were super super cold and is -7degree. ☺ Out with bf for movies♥

We leave there for shower at about 3 plus bcos shasha and doris need to go for an interview which is at 5pm.
And i wanna to cook dinner for my little cousin and me. So cant really accompany Pxin and Jun till late so in the end they join me. Hahas.. Wanna help me cook dinner. So head home together with me and went to fair price to buy those stuff.

Was lazy and tired to blog.
Wasn't really happy last week, as i had a fight with one of my CPmates.
she wasn't happy of what i am doing and she complaint to our CP lecture.
And lecture came to me with her and ask me what happen? Im already very unhappy with her for the past few days and i did whatever she asked me to help without complaining anything. But..... she's not happy when i asked her for help. So quarrel quarrel quarrel.... till other CP lectures have to come down and talk things out. I argue back as i think im not in a wrong.
The problem lies on her. she really need to learn how to communicate more with other. And she can come to me if she's not happy of what im doing. No point complaining to lectures.
Not im the only one who has problem with her. she had lots of fight with other before me.
In the end, we talk things out face to face. And she apologise so do i.
Just wanna end this whole posting with a smile. Ya?

☺I enjoyed my nights with fishy friend☺

This few days i was doing my night shift and for today is my sleeping day, tml is my DAY OFF!!
Hohohss... Finished my night duties already, So happy..
Hmmm... Its fun working at night:
→ not much visitors☺
→ no need to serve diet but NG feeding☺
→ not much call bells☺
→ top up stuff
→ total up I/O☺
→ lots of hourly and para☺
→ sponging☺
→ changing of drips

"Feel so BAD that we have to wake pts up in the middle of the night just to take their parameters." And some of the pts is on hourly para! ...***... Ytd was my last night and were super busy after my break at 4am.

Oh ya.. left with 3 more weeks and we're graduated.
Woow. Its damn fast ya. 2yrs course is coming to an end! ☺
As a nurse is my dream and im getting near to it!
Going to say bye bye to all my fellow friends as all of us were in diff hospital.

Yoss.. Hahass.. Another week had just passed!
Hmmm... One more month and we'll be graduated.
WOow.. that's fast. Then comes our vacation.
Was thinking when will i start working.
And worried, which ward or department will i be posted to.

Today i was morning shift, hmmm.. was very tired as ytd went back to school to
Key in the cca and cip point. Then after that went out with my gfs. Giving YJ an birthday surprise. Didn't really bought an big cake bcos we could't find it anywhere near by. So just bought an small one. Hope she loves it.
Had photo taking after that. It's all in doris camera! ***WAITING***

Hmmm.. Today went out with sha.. Acc her to service her phone at east point.☺

Im bored at home so decided to acc her. Then asked doris if she's free not, wanna join us..

Hehehss. she meet us at simei 3.20pm plus.

After we service sha phone, went for lunch. at KFC (again) Meet them always had KFC for lunch.
